Very good conditionThis wonderful commemorative/advertising plate, circa 1905-1910, was created for Joseph Ruwitch & Sons, Norway, Michigan, owners of a large department store of the era. Decorated in a multi-color transfer design which is rare for Buffalo Pottery pieces of this type. The center of the plate depicts a view of the Ruwitch store, autos and patrons, in shades of brick red, brown and white with light blue-gray clouds floating overhead. The wide, embossed, border shades from light to dark blue-green with a gold edge. The brown back-stamp shows the buffalo image, "Buffalo Pottery" and "Joseph Ruwitch & Sons, Norway, Michigan". There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
