Description: Joseph Heath Ontario Lake Scenery Purple Transferware Tea Bowl & Saucer C. 1841-1853 Nice earthenware tea bowl and saucer. Decorated in the Ontario Lake Scenery pattern in purple transfer. Impressed J Heath mark and printed purple Ontario Lake Scenery J Heath mark. Produced by Joseph Heath. Circa 1841 to 1853. Has crazing typical of earthenware, staining, a tight crack extending off the lip of the tea bowl, and a hairline extending off the back edge of the saucer. The tea bowl measures approximately 4 1/8 inches wide x 2 5/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 3/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. KV FX
