Description: Up for bid is a beautiful limited edition silkscreen print by the acclaimed artist JOSEF LEVI. It is entitled Karen, and created in 1971 for the well known annual serigraph calendar published by Licht Editions Ltd. (NYC). Printed by Seri-Arts (NYC) in an edition of 3000. The first 150 copies were signed and numbered in pencil by the artists, all other copies are numbered only. This particular copy is from the unsigned edition and numbered 2358 of 3000 on the colophon page. The 12 artists for this 1972 calendar included Richard Anuszkiewicz (Jan), John Wesley (Feb), Red Grooms (Mar), Henry Pearson (Apr), Charles Hinman (May), Josef Levi (Jun), Mel Ramos (Jul), Robert Stanley (Aug), David Milne (Sept), Lowell Nesbitt (Oct), Paul Van Hoeydonck (Nov), Pierre Clark (Dec). This print is in very good vintage condition. Untrimmed sheet, with minor edge toning and time stains as shown. It is printed on a sheet of woven paper and measures 14.25" x 18".
