Description: El Jarron de Manises This is a Limited Edition Serigraph on Paper by Jose Royo. This 1997 sold-out art is entitled "El Jarron de Manises." The art is on white paper and is Hand Signed by Royo. It is from the numbered edition of just 125 pieces plus some proofs. This piece is numbered 114/125. Included with the serigraph is a Certificate of Authenticity (COA.) The art is in very good condition! There are two very small smudges: one on the top margin and one on the right margin. These are very small and hardly noticeable marks off of the image and on the white margins of the paper. Both will be matted over and not show when the art is framed! Please see the last photo for the light smudge high on the top border area of the paper. Photos are of the actual piece that you will receive! Jose Royo was born in 1941 in Valencia, Spain. He received extensive art training as a young man, and visited the major art museums in Europe to study the masters. At age 25, Royo began feeling a desire to paint the land of his birth. He wished to convey the color and intensity of Valencia and the Mediterranean. This necessitated a new way to capture the light, the shadow, and to work on classical composition styles. Through the 1980's, Royo perfected his style of painting the Mediterranean and exhibited abroad. Parallels are drawn to the works of the European masters. His female forms are said to show the influence of Renoir. "El Jarron de Manises" is a large serigraph. It measures 36" X 30." The image size is 29" X 24." This beautiful art is so colorful!
