Description: John Anthony Conner 1897-1971 Hollywood CA. A Pair of Oil Paintings on canvas board - Foothills Southern California. Signed lower right. I have owned these two paintings for approximately 30 years, and I suspect they are circa 1930-40. One is of a eucalyptus grove framing a small group of red roofed homes with a backdrop of the San Bernardino Mountains. The other is a small stucco and red tiled home with a backdrop of the SB mountains peeking through a grove of trees. 8 “x 9.25”; framed 12.5” x 10.5” The one painting has some worn areas to the paint, the other has none.
