This helmet is fabulous condition without any apparent scratches, scrapes or blemishes. The helmet has strong, clear signatures from Joe and Mike in Black sharpie pen. The helmet was signed by these two great linebackers at a Detroit area signing years ago. While the helmet does not come with a COA, we guarantee that it will pass JSA or PSA authentication or we will refund the sales price. Joe Schmidt was a legendary Detroit Lions linebacker and Head Coach who played his entire career with the Lions from 1953 to 1965. During that time, Joe won two NFL titles (1953, 1957) and between 1954 and 1963 he played in ten consecutive Pro Bowls and was named 1st Team All-Pro. Joe was named as the NFL's "most valuable defensive player" by his fellow players in both 1960 and 1963. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1973 and was named to the NFL 1950's All-Decade Team and to the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. Joe also served as the Lions' Head Coach from 1966 to 1972. He is arguably the greatest player in Detroit franchise history. Joe just recently passed away at the age of 92. Mike Lucci was one of the all-time great linebackers for the Lions where he played from 1965 to 1973. He was a 1971 Pro Bowl selection and he won a NFL Championship playing for the Cleveland Browns in 1964. Mike passed away in 2021 at the age of 81.
