Description: This is a collection of Jido "Jack"s loose Barber quarters, ranging from 1892 to 1915. The coins are circulated and have an outstanding history. They are uncertified and are a great addition to any coin collection. The coins trend between 20 and 35 a piece. The denomination of the coins is 25 cents (quarter dollar) and they were minted in Philadelphia and San Francisco mints in the United States. These quarters are part of the Barber coin series and are a must-have for any serious coin collector. Jido (Grandfather in Syrian) Jack [or Ya’oub] is up everyday at 2AM reading, reflecting and writing about his 93 years of experience and study. His acumen and wit is as sharp as any college professor and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great (and another great) grand nephews, nieces and their friends as well. If you speak good Arabic, we can hook you up! Part 4: Jack in Oakland, CA After the first season, the war intensified. Times got tough again requiring the whole family to put in long hours to support their business and home expenses. Sami and Jack took turns skipping school to support the buss. In any event, Jack still found time to go to the famous LaLane Gym in downtown Oakland. He hung out with famous boxers like Max Baer, Harry Mandel, and others like Mr. Universe, Bill Pearl, (make my day!) Clint Eastwood (wasn’t famous then) and even Mr Jack LaLane Himself! Jack befriended Clint Eastwood and they would cut Music class together to go work out. The Music teacher complained about their truancy until she started cutting out herself with Clint Eastwood and suddenly the teacher disappeared from class as well! No-one knew what happened to that music teacher either??? In those fateful years of the late 1940’s Jack solidified his relationship with Mr LaLane, converted himself from a little “Pute” to an olympic gymnast and swimmer. In the early 50’s his brother Sami had conscripted into the Army and a little bit later, Jack, with his super aquatic skills joined the NAVY!
