Description: Jhane Barnes at her most amazing. I'm not an expert at weaving, but this looks a bit like tapestry combined with double faced weave. It's not a straightforward warp and weft - weaving was a Barnes specialty. Design is lovely: four graceful, muscular dancers (first photo) are repeated throughout. Gives new meaning to the expression 'muscle shirt'. Reminds me of Matisse's The Dance. (Last photo.) The color is essentially shades of gray, but please note there is a subtle hint of blue that is only visible in the pictures of the full shirt, front and back. (Second and third photos.) Seventh photo shows the shirt open - left side is the outer; right side is the inner, so you can compare how different the weave looks on the inside. So interesting! It's size large, 100% cotton. It's been washed, but it hasn't been ironed - I have decided I'm not ironing anymore, and that's the main reason I'm selling this beauty. Still in excellent condition. Just about impossible to come by anymore.
