Description: Up for bid is an unusual Calcite Rhomb from the Challenger Cave in, Nuevo Leon Mexico. Under SW or MW UV the specimen has zones that fluoresce Pink, Peach and Red-Orange. Under LW UV it fluoresces mostly white. I got a few of these crystals from an old collection. I had never seen anything like this before or since. First picture is under SW UV, Second picture is under MW UV, Third picture is under LW UV, Fourth picture is under White Light. This material is mined as huge crystals up to 1.5 meters long. Calcite has perfect cleavage in all three axis so when these large crystals are broken up, they produce miniature versions of themselves.
