(The production opened March 17th, 1943 at the Biltmore Theatre, transferred on January 1st, 1945 to the Bijou Theatre and returned to the Biltmore Theatre on June 11th, 1945, running for a combined 956 performances.) ..... The play starred JESSIE ROYCE LANDIS, ROYAL BEAL and BETTY CAULFIELD and featured JAMES LANE, FRANCIS BAVIER, CHARLES NEVIL, CAROLYN WALL, LIONEL WILSON, SI VARIO, KIRK DOUGLAS (who replaced RICHARD WIDMARK as "Lieut. Lenny Archer"), LOIS HOLMES, CALVIN THOMAS, MARY STEPHEN, WALTER DAVIS, ROBERT LYNN and "WRINKLES" HARRIS ..... CREDITS: Book by F.
