Description: Graceful antique piece evokes the wistful charm of another era. Beautifully balanced, handled porcelain ginger jar is accented with stunning faux-bamboo-style handles, sponge painted with soft gold. Jar body is strewn with delicate, cornflower blue flowers with pale rose centers. Cleverly designed with a small moisture-release vent hole in the lid to keep biscuits crisp, the 7 1/2 “x 6 1/2” jar is in EUC. The only apparent flaw is a minor chip on the inner tab meant to anchor the lid. Function is not affected and the issue is not visible when the jar is closed. The green JPL Mark was in use from 1890- 1932. The second, red mark indicates that the piece was painted in the JPL factory in Limoges, rather than sold as a white body to be decorated by a supplier or hobbyist.
