Jean Paul Gaultier 1985 Black Rib Knit Wool Skirt Tassels Fringe Velvet Italy 44

Description: This is a rare, vintage Autumn/Winter 1985 rib knit, knee length black skirt from Jean-Paul Gaultier Pour Equator. It has a fairly straight silhouette and is highly decorated with hand-tied tassels, fringe braided gimp and bands of velvet. Closure is with a Lampo zipper that runs the whole length of the front of the skirt, which completely opens it up. It is unlined. There are two patch style pockets on front, sewn into the side seams and incorporated into the rib, so they appear flat and seamless. They are 10 inches long and approximately 5-6 inches wide. Gaultier's signature tab is sewn onto the back. Made in Italy and manufactured by knitwear specialists Fuzzi. Fabric and care: 100% virgin wool; dry clean only Labeled as a women's Italian size 44, please note the measurements taken flat, one side only. The tassels exhibit fuzziness with strands coming out of the ties. They are the most delicate part of the skirt, and are composed of thin, silky floss. There are also a few broken fringe threads.
