The Swagger has shown to produce ultra fast lap times while also being easier to drive than other options on the market. The front tires are designed for the width of the 4wd front wheels but will also fit a standard 2wd front wheel which are already available from JConcepts. The ultra low-profile carcass keeps a 4wd buggy very predictable and consistent in high-grip conditions while pointing the vehicle in the correct direction. JConcepts has added side-wall ribs in a circular pattern to the exterior of the tire to support high-grip racing. The pink compound marked with 2 pink dots on the tire represents a new compound for JConcepts, a medium soft material with good wear characteristics. Since the Swagger tire is so small in diameter, the tire can be run with or without a front insert. The low stance provides quick transition at high-speed and minimizes side-wall deflection and roll. The pin is specially built in a reverse “water tower” shape planting the larger base at the bottom and narrowing at the top for precision. The pins are placed in a radius and repeated about for a healthy nest of pins to dig deep into matting in office carpet or tight knit CRC carpeting. The alternating rows of pins provides side-bite, and the tightness gives forward traction. The arrangement of the pins promotes good wear characteristics and traction longevity. The Fuzz Bite incorporates a small radial rib on the outside with angular cross to give consistent cornering but also forward mid-corner launch grip. A unique feature on the Fuzz Bite is the scalloped tire bead which removes a lot of weight from a normally beefy area. The tips of the bead touch off on the inner beads on the wheel which lead to a great alignment but now with reduced rotating weight. During the gluing process, it is also handy to have some breathing room for the glue process and the geometry gives many edges and ledges to adhere to. The directional nature of the pins were positioned to allow broken-in type pins to grip the surface in one direction, while the pins are more upright when oriented in the opposite direction. The tire carcass is marked with a special texture which helps the driver with orientation during mounting. The bottoms of the pins have heavy radiuses which allow the pins to wear more consistently and not tear or rip off the carcass prematurely. The tire carcass itself has been refined to reduce weight while maintaining strong sidewall support. The rear tires include gray, open cell inserts making them a complete set ready to mount, straight out of the package.
