Description: Japanese 36mm timber chisel (tataki nomi) by 2nd generation Kikuhiromaru (菊弘丸). Mentori profile (chamfered). A longer chisel for bigger jobs. Long term storage so will have minor scratches and chance of minimal surface rust. Hand forged by Shouji Nagayoshi (Kikuhiromaru II). The newer Kikuhiromaru aren’t made by hand anymore. Kikuhiromaru chisels are a favorite of carpenters in Japan because of their high quality cutting edge at a reasonable price. Thanks for your interest!
