Description: These items are pre-1940. They would be wonderful in any 1:12 scale doll house or room box, as well as being ideal for Hinamatsuri*. The first three pieces, in excellent condition, have beautiful black and gold designs. 1. Haribako sewing box with its original red pin cushion. The two drawers open. 2. Hasamibako- small clothing trunk with handles. The lid lifts off for storage. 3. Hibachi charcoal container, with red interior. (Also useful in doll scene as garden planter). 4. Bonus Item! Vintage cooking vessel on legs (does not open). Lightweight, not sure if it is of same era, but came with the other items. See also my beautiful tansu (dresser) in same pattern, listed separately. The listing is “Japanese Lacquer Tansu (Dresser) Pre-1940 Hinamatsuri or 1:12 Dollhouse”. If you want to buy both listings, we can combine shipping. *Girl’s Day is March 3rd, when Japanese homes traditionally would display these items along with dolls. However, many people in Japan now display their Hinamatsuri sets year round.
