The dough is cut into pieces and formed like cutting Kintaro candy.Due to the unique handmade and Nerikomi process, no two pieces are alike, and each piece has its own unique characteristics, including uneven colors and shapes.When creating a piece by laminating clay parts together, pay attention to the softness and thickness of each colored clay, and glue them together so that no air is trapped.Because the joints are prone to cracking, the drying time is long enough (several weeks, depending on the piece) to allow for a slow drying process.Finally, the nearly dry surface of the piece is scraped off using sandpaper or other tools to remove the colored clay from the surface, revealing a beautiful Nerikomi pattern.Made by Nagae Tetsuo(長江哲男):Received many awards at international ceramic exhibitions in Japan.
