Description: I was fortunate enough to be able to travel to Japan 14 times while working for General Motors. As such, I carved out enough weekend time to travel throughout Japan to visit many ancient sites, including the Great Budda of Kamakura statue. This would have been around 1983-84. While traveling through the town of Kamakura, I happened upon a very high end store that sold these Kamakura-Bori plates. I decided to splurge on this and I remember paying quite a bit for this plate. I liked this plate because of the unique shape. It was the only one in the store that had this shape. Plate measures around 10.5" across. Includes the certificate of authenticity The plate is still in the original box and has never been displayed. Will ship USPS fully insured.
