Description: Up for sale is a Japan Hurricane Jackie Stone Professional Model 414B Baseball Glove RH Thrower, in good used condition. The glove was found in a used sporting goods store and I was intrigued by a glove that had a female signature. I googled the name and found the following: Jackie was born in Conrad, Montana, the oldest of seven children. At age 10 her family moved to Spokane, Washington, setting deep roots in the St. Aloysius neighborhood. Jackie was a gifted student, an intensely competitive athlete, and excelled in softball and synchronized swimming. She attended Marycliff, then Gonzaga University. During her high school years, she played catcher for a semi-pro softball team. She was also an accomplished orator on the Marycliff debate team. With debate partner Dodie, she defeated Spokane's golden son and eventual 30-year Congressman and Speaker of the House Tom Foley and his partner for the right to represent the Spokane region at the high school debate nationals in Washington, DC.In her late teens, Jackie met the love of her life, Frank William "Bill" Foster, Jr. They married in957, honeymooned at Lake Louise, Canada and soon began their family of Kelly, Greg, Jeff, Jon, and Jill. The Spokane years living on the South Hill featured many family car camping vacations throughout the Pacific Northwest. In 1965 Jackie and Bill relocated to Denver for Bill's work, and unfortunately Bill passed away there in 1967 of Leukemia. The next chapter of Jackie's life proved beyond all doubt her survivor grit, as she relocated to Spokane, where she and her five children relied on the loving support of the many cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents of the Stone, Foster, McMahon, Giese, and McDonnell clans. Over the next several years Jackie juggled solo parenting, working full time, and obtaining her Masters degree in Counseling from Gonzaga University. (A lifelong Bulldog, she cheered the Zags on through every March Madness of the past several decades.)While in graduate school at Gonzaga, Jackie met and eventually married Merlin James "Mert" Neumann. They packed their bags for the University of Wyoming, where Mert studied for his Ph.D. in Counseling. Life in Laramie featured many winter weekends skiing together in the Medicine Bow Range. Following the completion of Mert's graduate studies, the next stop on the family tour was Sacramento, California, where son Mike was born, rounding out the family of eight. Not one to rest on her Masters's degree, Jackie dove into her next professional endeavor, obtaining her CPA license, founding her own accounting firm, and ....
