Description: In June 2005 Emmanuel Coindre rowed solo for 11,000km from Choshi, Japan to San Francisco, US, setting a new record. Jaeger Lecoutre produced a special version of their Master Compressor Extreme World Chronograph to accompany him on his journey. Only 20 of these watches were made. This one is number 3. The watch differs from the reguler version in it's yellow-on-black colorway; the cities of Choshi and San Francisco are marked in yellow on the world time ring (rather than the usual Tokyo and Los Angeles); and back is engraved to show the route taken by Coindre and commemorate his achievement. Watch comes with all the original papers and packaging. The original rubber strap is unworn. The calf strap shows some cracking of the yellow edge paint due to age (see photos). It also includes a custom-made Greg Stevens Design strap, which, IMO opinion is the perfect match for the watch.
