Jacques Naegeli [1885-1971] was born near Lake Constance and apprenticed and worked for several photographers before striking out on his own and opening his “Photo Suisse” studio two days before the outbreak of the First World War. After military service he returned to Gstaad and re-opened as “Photo-Haus J. Naegeli”.
