Description: Isidore Lot French Bassoon Circa 1890 ex Tony Bingham HISTORIC COLLECTION PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Here's a fine French system bassoon by Isidore Lot. Isidore Lot was the grandson of Louis Lot, the so-called Stradivarius of the flute, and he produced a wide variety of fine instruments. This bassoon is French system and in overall good condition without cracks, but will need pad work to be playable. Was formerly sold through the shop of Tony Bingham, UK. Provenance: The Historic Collection. This is from the collection of a well-known researcher and historian of woodwinds who spent a lifetime collecting rare and unique instruments. We are privileged to offer items from this collection for sale. As this instrument is historically interesting we have chosen to not do restoration work on it and leave that to the eventual owner.
