Description: Intricate Handmade Borneo Tribal Design Art Pottery Ceramic Sculpture (Egg-shaped) with Lamp Base Height: Approx. 9 inches (egg); Approx. 3 inches (base)Width (widest part): Approx. 5 inches This is a handmade egg-shaped sculpture with a Borneo Tribal motif based on the designs of East Malaysia near Kalimantan, Indonesia. This is a an intricate ceramic piece that has openings for a lamp light (light electronics not included) and a separate lamp base. The finish is glazed and has light-brown with dark/black highlights. Although sizeable, it is not as big as one of the other egg-shaped Borneo ceramic sculptures we had on sale. This piece should fit on a table top more comfortably than the other one. These pieces are all handmade, and usually done in limited batches, so although there are similar sculptures, each is different. It has the words 'Sarawak' etched in one of the sides. We saw the pride in their craftmanship and their wonderful work, and we knew we had to support them so they could continue to make more. Please see the pictures for details.
