Description: Please review all pictures for overall condition and size, as this helps form the overall condition/description of the item. Wear is consistent with age and use. Has some dirt, dust, marks, scuffs, scratches, cracks, etc. Very solid piece overall. Face/front area looks to have been smoked/fire hardened. Some cracks and chips have formed in that area from the very hard charred material. It feels very stable and not actively falling off. Feels like a very solid, hard wood with good weight. In one of the cracks on the very bottom you can see some lighter colored wood. So it has been stained/lacquered most likely, can make some drips out in places on the base. We haven't been able to figure out what culture/country this piece comes from. It's very well done and has some fine details. There is a very aged and discolored old label on the bottom. We can make out the words "Crafted", "Admissions" and "Southbridge, Mass." Possibly imported or on display at a museum. The piece itself shows very nice age as well. Early 1900s/ Late 1800s. Measurements are in the photos, 18.25" tall. It's a good sized piece. Please message us with any questions, we respond fast.
