I even wrote on the back of the unit: Romaldo when only the best will do (see attached photos). to ensure long life of this heavy duty card reader/writer you'll need to follow 2 simple but important steps :1) Always disconnect the card reader/writer extension cable that is connected to your computer or laptop USB port (IF you are not using it) as this unit has light indicators when turned on and if you leave it plugged in for days and weeks (while you are not using it) the blue lights might overheat.. (see one of attached photos) 2) but always leave the USB 3.0 extension cable that is connected to the Card Reader/writer (that extension cable will be supplied to you with your special package) don't disconnect that cable but again leave it always connected to the card reader/writer unit so you don't ever need to connect it every time you like to use as it this will also keep the card reader in perfect good condition as the more often you keep taking in and out the USB cable from the card reader/writer itself the more chances you might eventually damage the card reader/writer USB port (see attached photo) also once you copied designs from your computer or laptop.. to your cf card using the card reader/writer, next you insert that card into the card adapter (see attached photos) and next insert that card adapter (that has the cf card inside it with your designs) into that slot for the Cf card adapter on the side of your Janome or Elna machine) most compatible Janome machines model numbers (only for the ones that I've listed above) have that special slot on the side of the machine to insert a Card Adapter in it and now you should now be ready to stitch your patterns, it's that simple really, but again proper instructions will be sent along. also you're welcome to write to me if you ever needed any help. I will supply you with a clearer and a better detailed instructions (2 pages) along with yourspecial package on how to use properly all the units that are included in this package.
