Description: This vintage ceramic wall hanging a souvnir of Denmark, was made in Norway probably in the 1960s or 1970s. It is about 6" x 4" with a silk screen tile design by Inger Waage (1923-1995) a ceramist who started her own workshop in Stavanger, Norway in 1946. She joined Stavangerflint, and is well known for her decorative tableware beginning in 1950. After Stavangerflint and Figgjo merged she continued until they closed shop in 1979. Her hand painted and silk-screen designs are highly collectable was used souvenirs (for other countries as well as Norway) and for tableware.
