Description: You are bidding on an original vintage US 1874 Type 2 canteen. Carried by the regular Army or the western cavalry. It is canvas covered. There are no rips or tears in the canvas and the stitching is good. It has the original cork/medal stopper and still has the original chain connecting it to the canteen. It comes with the original leather strap. The leather is in good condition. One of the original clips on the sling has been replaced.
