One of the dahlias is already dying and it is painted in brown tones. The second smaller vase stands on the same table. It is of the solid blue. One of the asters felt from this vase. Green and falling brown leaves complete this picture. The background is painted on all brown colors making this piece quite unusual. It is signed in the right lower corner NMS. We believe that this painting is of Scandinavian origin. We could not identify the name of this artist based on signature. Previous owner of this painting bought it in Denmark in 1950s. Canvas measures 29 ½” x 23 ½”. It is framed within dark brown wooden frame. Frame is 32” x 26”. Condition of canvas is immaculate, no scratches, no wear.
