Description: This is a gorgeous purple or amethyst glass, not flashed color, Imperial Glass basket. The pattern seems to be either starbursts or flowers and blocks. I had a hard time reading the mark on the inside bottom of the basket-which turns out to be ALIG--so had to rely on Google. Google says that the mark is a late Imperial Glass Company mark. Several iterations of the original mark led to this mark when the company was purchased from Lenox by Arthur Lorch in 1981. The basket has a good weight to it with an applied handle. There are no chips or cracks that I can see or feel. Please refer to all pictures as part of the description and ask any other questions before purchasing.
