It has 27 jumbo-sized frets with Prestige fret edge treatment—the size offers good articulation when playing chords, and the quantity is designed for lead players and shredders who make their homes in the higher octaves. The JBM9999’s sound is driven by a duo of custom pickups—a single-coil at the neck and a humbucker at the bridge—plus 5-way switching and a master Volume control. Additional appointments include Gotoh MG-T locking machine head tuners for enhanced tuning stability, Luminlay side dots for ease in seeing fretboard position and a Gibraltar Elite bridge.
