Description: IAN FLEMING'S James Bond story "QUANTUM OF SOLACE", in COSMOPOLITAN magazine May, 1959 issue, includes artwork that appears nowhere else. VERY RARE AND MUST HAVE FOR THE IAN FLEMING/JAMES BOND COLLECTOR - THIS WAS IAN FLEMING'S VERY FIRST JAMES BOND SHORT STORY AND SPECIALLY COMMISSIONED BY COSMOPOLITAN (LONG BEFORE JAMES BOND BECAME A POPULAR LITERARY FIGURE IN THE U.S.), THERE WAS NO CORRESPONDING U.K. PUBLICATION AND THE STORY WASN'T PUBLISHED IN BOOK FORM UNTIL A YEAR LATER IN 'FOR YOUR EYES ONLY'. EXTREMELY DIFFICULT ITEM TO FIND NOW AS THE TITLE WAS RECENTLY USED AS THE TITLE FOR THE 2ND DANIEL CRAIG BOND FILM. NOTE - MEDIA MAIL ROUTINELY TAKES 3-4 WEEKS (REGARDLESS OF WHAT EBAY MAY SAY - THEY DON'T CONTROL THE POST OFFICE). Also, since I print shipping labels from home (as opposed to purchasing shipping at the post office), the delivery confirmation number IS NOT SCANNED BY THE POST OFFICE AT THIS END. Therefore, in most cases, the first time that the Post Office will show anything when you check the delivery confirmation number is when the package hits your local post office/sorting center (basically the day before its delivered to you).
