Tricks where the spectator ends up doing the magic are always strong for lay people, and HyperVision lets the spectator be the mentalist...without even knowing how it works! A spectator is sent out of the room or turns around, so he cannot see what is happening. Now another spectator freely selects one of five ESP symbols -- nicely produced on small plastic plaques (which I often find useful for other routines also!) When the "mentalist spectator" returns, he is given a small toy pair of opera glasses, and looks thru them at the plaques. Nothing at first, but when he flips a switch on the glasses, he instantly knows which symbol was chosen. Note: no force involved. A different symbol every time. Spectator will be happy to repeat the effect for his fellow audience members! The opera glasses are a bit cheesy -- like a plastic toy -- but I have found that it is good for a few laughs, and also adds to the mystery of the effect, as the glasses seem very innocent. This effect was never one of Tenyo's "popular, must-have" items, but I like it alot and think it is a real "sleeper" Hypervison is long discontinued by Tenyo but you can still find this one for relatively reasonable prices compared to other vintage Tenyo of the late 1980's. This one is in excellent condition, with a carefully opened package. Instructions and props are clean and undamaged. I see sealed HyperVisions listed for $50-$60. Since this one is opened, I will sell it for less, of course..Please read Condition Notes below.CONDITION NOTES: previously owned, but in excellent condition. Original props and instruction sheet are in excellent condition.
