Hump Back Cam Spring Kit- Zippo Lighters EXACT Reproduction 1938

Description: Up for your consideration is this Cam Spring Repair Kit for vintage Zippo cigarette lighters. Use this new spring and brass eyelet to repair the weak or broken cam spring in your vintage Zippo lighter. This spring is the best one that is available and, unlike others, is the only one that is an EXACT reproduction of the original. It's the same size shape and thickness as the original ZIPPO spring. Using the correct spring preserves the value of your collectible lighter. Installing an improperly shaped replacement spring will reduce the value of the lighter. I make this spring from high quality, high carbon spring steel. Beware of other springs that are not made from spring steel as they will not perform well. The brass eyelet that is included is also the same diameter as the original ZIPPO eyelet. The eyelet that others supply is NOT the same diameter as the original and will not work as well. The kit includes one humped back cam spring and one brass eyelet that holds the cam spring in place and instructions for replacing the cam spring without removing the cam. It is possible to replace the cam spring without removing the cam but the procedure will require a good eyelet setting tool. The spring measures about 13/16" long and is an exact reproduction of the original in size and shape. I believe the Zippo company calls the spring a Cover Stop Bar Spring but it is commonly known as a cam spring. The last photo is included in this description to show the installation process and the eyelet setting tool is not included in this kit but is sold separately.
