Every piece of jewellery is subjected to rigorous testing including a soak in Thiourea & sulfuric acid, which removes silver plating, to ensure it is solid silver. Years later the buyer contacted me as the silver had worn off revealing it to be plated. I refunded fully on the spot. I have several tests run now on silver items, so it is highly unlikely to occur again, but will always back items I sell for my lifetime.
