Description: Here we have a ENORMOUS Howe platform scale. I put several objects (and my dog) in the pictures to try to give a size comparison, because it's WAY larger than a normal platform scale. The actual platform is 40x32 inches, and the overall footprint is roughly 60"x40", and the top of the cross-arm is 59 inches above the ground. It weighs about 880 lbs. This is not your average barn-found platform scale, this is warehouse/railroad-class. It's in very good cosmetic condition, with nice finish and legible HOWE logo still on the wood. I did *not* get any of the weight discs though, so I can't test it properly. The platform and beam are free and appear well balanced though. There is hand-writing on the cross-beam that indicates it is 13 lbs off at each end (high at one, low at the other) so it could probably use work if you need to actually weigh things with it. But it's a pretty rare piece in it's own right. It'll ship freight, fully crated, top lever locked down for shipping. Feel free to ask for a freight quote.
