Description: This is a hard to find American Girl of Today (Just Like You) #15 doll. She is in excellent condition. Her wig is perfect which is very rare for this doll. Most of them have a lot of broke hairs due to previous owners brushing and styling. But this is a display doll and has been handled carefully. This line of dolls was introduced in 1986 with 20 versions of skin color (fair, med. and dark), eye color (light brown, dark brown, green, blue and grey), and hair color (straight light brown, dark brown, red and blonde; and black textured), and three face molds (Classic, Addy, and Asian). This doll has medium skin and torso fabric, black textured hair, dark brown eyes and the classic face mold. She is wearing the first meet outfit released with this line of dolls in 1985, it's called the Mix and Match outfit. It has magenta tee shirt, matching leggings and underwear, a crispy white oversized shirt and a reversible vest (denim on one side and a magenta print on the other). The catalog showed black velvet flats for shoes but production problems led them to send the dolls in the MaryJane shoes used by Samantha and Molly. I've included a contentless black purse that was part of the accessories. She has the Grinpins tag on her wrist. She a great doll for collectors.
