Description: HTF 2 Vintage Homer Laughlin Nautilus 6" Side Bread Plates True Red Black Line Hard to find Nautilus pattern set done in a white body with a true red and black striping of lines on these 6-1/4" side bread & butter plates. Nautilus was offered in early 1936 and would continue to be produced into the mid to late 1950s. Reminder: this is a true red color treatment, not the "orange red" found on Fiesta. Creamer made in April of 1940 at the Newell plant per the marks on the bottom of D40 N8. Very good vintage condition.Very clean pieces - no chips or cracks. Some minor imperfections on the glaze from age / factory production. Red & Black lines are clean, with some wear from handling and use. Utensil wear present on both from use, does not distract, but noted for accuracy. These are very nice pieces that are hard to find in this treatment and pattern!
