Description: ITEM DESCRIPTIONThis is an internal DVD-RW optical drive that was taken out of a Compaq Presario CQ62-215DX. The drive is otherwise fully functional when it comes to reading and writing CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, and DVD-RW data discs and even still plays music CD's. However, the laser that allow for this to play movie DVD's has given out and no longer read those types of discs. ITEM CONDITION Other than the functional shortcomings, this drive does have some minor cosmetic wear but only on the button that's pressed to open the drive tray. It will include the faceplate and mounting bracket, all of which can be seen in the pics above. The LightScribe function has not been tested. NOTEThe HP spare part number for this drive is 599062-001. Please refer to this number when determining compatibility before purchasing.
