Condition: FAIR The book has cracked hinges and joints that have been amateurishly reinforced long ago with now quite old tape. Some soiling and rubbing to boards and extremities. Cuts to the spine with a few areas of loss. Corners bumped. Spots of soiling on fore-edge. Tears on several fold-out maps and a few pages. Gift inscription in pencil on front endpaper. Water dampening stains to head of book and text block. Some foxing toward the beginning of the book and on or near some of the plates. Some waviness to some pages and some creasing and a few bent corners. Some plate and illustration offsetting, per normal.
