Description: Please look at all FOUR photos. This is a not just a scarce book, but a genuinely RARE SIGNED copy. It is both an autobiography of Eva Chandler Gagnon and a collection of true stories from both her and those passed down by her family. She was born in the Creek Stand community (in Macon County) near Hurtsboro (in Russell County), Alabama. When her family went to Tuskegee, the nearest large city (in Macon County), it was 25 miles away, and they went in a wagon until automobiles became affordable. This book was printed in 1964. She signed and dated this copy on March 22, 1966. Her parents were married in 1866. I have not been able to positively establish the year of her birth or death. That's not too surprising as women of her generation rarely told their birth year! Her husband died in 1962 in Hurtsboro. The book's cover is stiff green cardstock, 57 pages. It is in remarkably Very Good-to-Near Fine condition with just a hint of wear. It will be carefully packaged to insure safe shipping. FREE SHIPPING & TRACKING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
