From what I understand after researching the internet, the red cover books were published in England and the blue ones (like this one) were printed in the United States. Found this in the basement of the estate of a multi-generational family. Approximately 7-3/4" x 5-1/4" in size and 1-1/2" thick. I found the following information on the internet about the author:Marie Corelli (born Mary Mackay) was a best-selling British novelist of the Victorian and Edwardian eras, whose controversial works of the time often label her as an early advocate of the New Age movement. In the 1890’s Marie Corelli’s novels were eagerly devoured by millions in England, America and the colonies. Her readers ranged from Queen Victoria and Gladstone, to the poorest of shop girls. In all she wrote thirty books, the majority of which were phenomenal best sellers. Despite the fact that her novels were either ignored or belittled by the critics, at the height of her success she was the best selling and most highly paid author in England. She was the daughter of poet, journalist, author, anthologist, novelist, and songwriter Charles Mackay. Her brother was the poet Eric Mackay. Fair to good condition. Overall in good shape, no missing or torn pages. Binding and cover are in good condition but inside pages have minor water stains (see photo. There is a name written inside the front cover with a fountain pen and inside the rear cover there is considerable pencil notes/markings (see last photo). Some slight separation of the binding on the inside rear cover (see last photo). INTERNATIONAL BUYERS. I HAVE BEEN HAVING A LOT OF PROBLEMS LATELY WITH BAD ADDRESSES. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR EBAY ADDRESS IS CURRENT AND ACCURATE. IF I HAVE PROBLEMS, WILL REFUND YOU AND RELIST. SOME ADDRESSES ARE ALSO TO LONG FOR OUR ONLINE POSTAL LABELS. PLEASE PROVIDE A WORKING ADDRESS. I will also combine auctions BUT once paid will ship (sorry cannot hold paid items, eBay will revoke my seller status). However, certain items CANNOT be shipped outside the United States such as military radio equipment. I will not bend, tweek or break any laws restricting the shipping of certain item. Comes from a smoke free home, feel free to ask questions. ABOUT HANDLING CHARGES: I still hate handling charges and view them as a loop hole for some unreputable sellers to increase their profits. I won't use handling charges unless a buyer requests special services. REFUND/RETURNS. You DO have a THIRTY DAY RIGHT OF INSPECTION and return it for a full refund. I try to pack things as best I can, and if I feel I was amiss on that I will gladly work with somebody. Sometimes I forget people value boxes and packaging and I can feel their pain so if I feel I didn't package something good enough I am more than happy to work with someone. Most of the time I am very careful although I do try to use whatever boxes I can find instead of buying them to keep from charging a handling fee. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 7 DAYS. Or eBay will automatically file an unpaid claim.
