Description: This listing is for a Rare Find of Manufacturers Hanover Trust MHT Sterling China Holiday Christmas Holly & Berry 6" salad/ bread plate with 1/2" Gold edged trim. We are guessing that these are from the late 1960's - 70's MHT was formed in 1961.The plate was expressly designed by Sterling China of Wellsville, Ohio. They are white or off white in color approximately 6". The plates are adorned with a 1/2" wide gold filigree trim around the outside edge, gold band on the inside with a ring of holly around the center of the plate. They are in great vintage condition. There is very light utensil wear and the gold looks great. most the of the plates have small markings on the underside from the manufacturering process (see last pic) but none are cracked chipped or defective that we see or feel.Selling as eaches we have 6 all in very similar condition from the same estate...buy more & save $On the back of the plate it reads "Expressly Designed for Manufacturers Hanover Trust Sterling China Wellsville, OH U.S.A" in gold and different initials on each plate. The initials are ND or SP (not sure the meaning of these - but maybe one of you can educate us!).
