Rare- 23” Van Briggle 1920’s Mulberry Glaze Lamp w Original Pressed Flower Shade

Description: This stunning Van Briggle lamp from the 1920s, is a rare find in the large 23” size. It boasts the beautiful mulberry glazed base and comes with its original 15” pressed flower shade. The lamp measures 23” In height from base to the top of the lamp shade holder. The base measures approx 6” in diameter at its widest point and tapers off to approx 3.25” at the neck of the lamp. The lamp is in working condition. The base is in excellent condition and features the Van Briggle mark near the bottom of the base. This lamp base comes as produced without any chips or cracks. The pink hued shade compliments the base and measures 15” in diameter and features 3 pressed butterflies dancing among pressed flowers that circle the entire shade. This is an original shade from the 1920’s and it has a several cracks in the plastic 3 on the interior and 1 on the exterior at the top of the shade where the stitching wraps around the metal frame for the shade. ( please see pictures) This fortunately does not detract from the beauty of this lamp and shade. The pottery material and art deco style add to its unique appeal, making it a must-have for any antique collector.
