Description: This English-language Hobonichi Techo A5 HON in a rainbow design is a great diary for everyday use. Also included is a FREE GIFT – a small stencil and ruler combination for decorating and using your Hobonichi. The Hobonichi Techo HON has the same contents as the Techo Cousin A5 book, but does not require a separate cover. The hardcover design gives it a book-like feel. The year is stamped in foil on the spine, so that previous year’s HON can be easily identified when stored on a bookshelf. The HON has two attached bookmarks—one navy and one beige—so you can mark your place in frequently used pages. Included with every HON is a transparent pencil board that has a pen loop attached. Use the pencil board as an underlay to have a flat writing surface on every page, or as a bookmark to keep your place in any part of the book. Just like the Hobonichi Techo Original and Cousin, the HON uses the same lay-flat stitch binding method and opens to 180 degrees so you can write in it without having to hold the pages down. Each day is given its own page in the HON, segmented on the left-hand side in time-of-day increments. At the top of each page is a row of check boxes, suitable for a daily to-do list or for habit tracking, and at the bottom are Hobonichi's signature quotes. Pages feature a 3.7mm grid, and each month's pages are a different color. Monthly calendars precede the daily pages. One of the standout attributes of the Techo HON is its use of Tomoe River paper. This exceptional paper is both thin and strong, allowing the planner to hold many pages without becoming bulky. While Tomoe River paper is designed for all kinds of pens, including fountain pens, we do find that some inks need a few moments of drying time to avoid smudging. Language: English Made by: Hobonichi Made in: Japan Specifications: 8.4" x 6" x 0.8" About the cover design: Bijutsukai and Shin Bijutsukai are craft design books published during the Meiji period (1868–1912). Both contain beautiful designs created by various Japanese painters and designers. This collection of multicolored woodblock print designs was published by Unsodo, a Kyoto-based art publishing company and the only publisher of hand-printed woodblock books in Japan. This Weeks book was created using a craft design selected from Bijutsukai. Red, blue, white, yellow, green, and purple. the bright stripes catch your eye. The combination of contrasting colors and shapes of the vivid, straight rainbows and the pure white, softly curved mountains is pleasing to the eye and something you can always enjoy.
