F-16C 03-0047 was the 8th F-16C delivered to the 31st TAB/3rd ELT at Poznan-Krzesiny AB and was assigned serial 4047. In 2019 4047 was given a special paint scheme "Raven" to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Polish Air Force established in 1919 after WW I. The raven was part of the 302nd Squadron insignia in WWII and 132nd FS/3rd Aviation Regiment prior to war. Lockheed F-16C Fighting Falcon Designed by General Dynamics as a lightweight, daytime USAF air-combat fighter, the F-16 was first flown on January 20th, 1974. This single-engine, supersonic aircraft has, over the years, evolved into a multirole aircraft. It has a frameless bubble canopy-giving its pilot superior visibility-and it uses advanced aerodynamics. The F-16 was one of the first designs to use a relaxed static stability/fly-by-wire system, which helps it pull 9-g maneuvers and achieve speeds of more than Mach 2.
