Bound in publisher's deep maroon cloth with titles and coin motif stamped in gilt on front board plus embossing. Gilt picture of a 20 Dollar gold piece on the front cover. Titles in gilt on spine. Condition: Very good considering the age. Some tanning. Covers in very good condition with some shelfware and age marks. Spine top frayed. Spine bottom shows some wear, but not as extensive as top spine. Tips show very little wear. Inside front cover has a pencil mark on front page and page has a tear -- otherwise all pages are clean: no tears, marks, folds or missing pages. Minor age marks on front inside cover illustration. The paper cover for the binding on front cover shows some wear but does not affect the binding. Between pages 70 - 71, binding shows very slight (1 inch) break on lower edge. Binding covers on back cover shows about 1.5 inch separation/rip. Still, a handsome, solid collectable copy. Please see pictures.
