The unit fought the full length of the war in the eastern theater. Written by a member of the unit, the book gives a full account of all its movements, battles and hardships and an accurate and complete account of the travels and fight of the Army of Northern Virginia of which it was a part. The book also contains a copy of the letter written in Virginia at the time by the author and sent to his family. Additionally the book includes an account of the author’s services in the 1st Regiment of Engineer Troops in the later part of the war along with a short sketch of his life. THIS BOOK IS IN MINT CONDITION This book is in excellent condition. The exterior is clean, sharp, and bright with bumping, rubbing or wear. The interior is clean and the pages are in excellent condition. It has solid binding throughout. The book has no writing, smudging, foxing or other markings.
