Description: Offered is the book "History of Smyrna Church and Grounds-1786-2001", compiled by Donald Durden and published in Washington, Georgia by the Wilkes Publishing Co. The book detailing the history of one of Wilkes County, Georgia's oldest churches has a 2003 copyright date and appears to be a first edition. There is one illustration-a black and white drawing of the church. This is a rare find; at the time of original listing I could not find any other copies for sale on eBay or anywhere else. The book is approx. 9 1/4" x 6 1/4" and contains 203 pages, including the index. It is in excellent condition. The red hard cover has no wear, the gold words on the spine and front still shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or back cover. The white endpapers are clean. I see no missing or torn pages and all of the pages are well-attached to the binding, clean and clear. I see no writing in the book. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
