Description: HERITAGE VILLAGE COLLECTION DEPT. 56 OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS 5654-5, IN BOX. This auction is for a delightful Christmas/Holiday collectible from Department 5, Item # 5654-5. Created as part of the Heritage Village Collection, it is a hand painted porcelain accessory entitled, “Over the River and Through the Woods.” It features a dapple grey horse pulling a cart behind him that has a large evergreen tree stored inside. There is snow on the ground and a man guiding the horse with a younger boy beside him and two small children riding along in the back of the cart. A brown colored dog is running near them. It measures a little under 7 ½” long x 3” deep x a little under 3” high and weighs 13 ounces unpackaged. On the bottom is the copyright and Maker’s Mark, ‘Department 56.’ It is in excellent condition, with no chips/cracks and includes the green Heritage Village Collection tag, in original plastic wrap and box (any wear due to storage). The figurines were unwrapped only for photographs. (SEE IMAGES FOR ITEM DETAILS) – any glare on figurines is from the lighting used to take the photographs).
