Description: Here’s a real oddball for you. These Herco pieces are plated with rhodium rather than silver (hence they look darker but do not tarnish). This one appears to have made friends with a pair of pliers at some point in its life. By all accounts this is one goofy mouthpiece. But here’s what I’ll say: it’s one of the only mouthpieces (out of dozens upon dozens that I’ve tried) that has allowed me, on piccolo trumpet, to cleanly double tongue high F’s and G’s and play up to a written high C or D.
