Description: Hegel on Sacred Poetry by Victor Ibarra B. Estimated delivery 3-12 business days Format Paperback Condition Brand New Description Víctor Ibarra B revisits Hegels early works before 1800 and his dispute with Kants concept of freedom, to offer a practical account of Hegels view on sublime art within the context of his philosophy of love. Publisher Description In die heilige Poesie, Hegel equates poetry with the Judaic Psalms at the core of his notion of sublimity. Hegels theory of the sublime has largely been interpreted as suggesting a lack of interest in the subject. Víctor Ibarra B. argues that Hegels apparent disinterest is misleading and warrants further elucidation, through a careful examination of his remarks on heilige Poesie as portraying a flawed approach to agency. By revisiting Hegels early works before 1800 and his dispute with Kants concept of freedom, he offers a practical account of Hegels view on sublime art within the context of his philosophy of love. Author Biography Víctor Ibarra B., born in 1987, holds a B.A. degree in literature and an M.A. degree in contemporary thought, philosophy, and political thought. He completed his doctoral studies in philosophy through a joint PhD program at Leiden University and Universidad Diego Portales. He has held the co-editorship of the Chilean publishing house Cuadro de Tiza Ediciones since 2013. Details ISBN 3837674142 ISBN-13 9783837674149 Title Hegel on Sacred Poetry Author Victor Ibarra B.
